How does the COZING-USBE photodynamic tinnitus sound treatment work?

Red light therapy, utilizing specific wavelengths of red and near-infrared light, has shown great promise in healing and strengthening the body at a cellular level. While research on red light therapy specifically for tinnitus is limited, studies have indicated its efficacy in managing pain and inflammation, which are often associated with tinnitus. Red light therapy may relieve individuals experiencing tinnitus symptoms by targeting cellular function and promoting healing.
As a non-invasive and generally safe treatment option, red light therapy offers an alternative approach for individuals seeking relief from tinnitus. It can be used with standard medical treatments, providing a complementary medicine to address the multifaceted nature of tinnitus. While individual responses to red light therapy may vary, many have reported positive experiences with reduced tinnitus symptoms, including pain, discomfort, and sleep disturbances.

Photodynamic tinnitus sound treatment Clinical Study:

Background:

Finding an effective remedy for tinnitus presents a considerable challenge. Limited research has delved into the impact of acupuncture on tinnitus. This study aimed to assess the efficacy of acupuncture in managing chronic non-pulsatile tinnitus.

Methods:

Conducted from December 2014 to September 2015, this randomized double-blind clinical trial divided patients suffering from chronic non-pulsatile tinnitus into two groups: acupuncture and placebo. Over the course of 15 sessions, participants underwent treatment. At the conclusion of the fifteenth session and three weeks post-treatment completion, patients completed visual analog scale (VAS) assessments for tinnitus loudness and tinnitus severity index (TSI) questionnaires.

Results:

The case group comprised 26 males and 18 females, while the control group included 27 males and 17 females, with mean ages of 49.11±1.07 and 55.20±8.33 years, respectively (p=0.005). Prior to treatment, TSI and VAS scores were 43.84±2.81 and 9.56±0.43 in the case group and 43.52±2.94 and 9.54±0.45 in the control group, respectively. Following 15 sessions, TSI and VAS scores improved to 24.82±1.04 and 2.88±0.33 in the case group and 33.16±1.24 and 7.86±0.23 in the control group. Significant improvements in TSI and VAS scores were noted in all groups (p<0.001). Across each session, TSI and VAS scores in the acupuncture group were lower than those in the placebo group (p<0.001), except for TSI scores in the tenth session (p=0.392).

Conclusions:

Acupuncture demonstrates efficacy in mitigating the loudness and severity of tinnitus and holds promise as a beneficial treatment for nonpulsatile chronic tinnitus.
