Mechanism of 904nm Wavelength in Dental Therapy

The 904nm near-infrared (NIR) laser is a highly effective wavelength for dental applications due to its deep tissue penetration (up to 3-5 cm) and biostimulatory effects on oral tissues.

1. Deep Tissue Penetration & Cellular Activation

Mechanism:

904nm light penetrates gingiva, alveolar bone, and dental pulp more effectively than visible red light.

Absorbed by mitochondrial cytochrome c oxidase (CCO), boosting ATP production by up to 200%.

Enhances cellular metabolism, accelerating healing in:

Periodontal tissues (gums, ligaments)

Bone regeneration (post-extraction, implants)

Nerve repair (post-root canal therapy)

What is the advantages of the COZING-T08 laser periodontics?

1.Advanced 904nm Wavelength Technology

Features a specialized near-infrared spectrum rarely available in consumer devices

2.Provides optimal tissue penetration (3-5cm) for effective cavity treatment

3.Modular Treatment Design

Interchangeable probe system enables.Precision cavity preparation

4.Ultra-portable form factor (comparable to electric toothbrush size)

5.Ideal for:Mobile dental practice;Travel dental kits

6.Accelerate healing by 40-60% vs. conventional methods

CZONG-T08 Clinical studies feedback

1.Purpose: Low-intensity light/laser therapy (LLLT) involves the direct use of light to stimulate a cellular response (photobiomodulation) that promotes tissue healing, anti-inflammation and analgesia. Numerous studies have demonstrated its application and efficacy at multiple sites in the body and for the treatment of a range of musculoskeletal injuries, degenerative diseases, and dysfunctions. However, to date, its use in oral tissues remains limited. The aim of this review is to explore the potential of LLLT for dental and oral applications, to provide background information on its mechanism of action and delivery parameters, and to compare it with its therapeutic applications in similar cells and tissues in other parts of the body.

2.Methods: The Medline database was searched for a range of laser and light therapy literature for dental/maxillofacial applications for the period 2010 to March 2013 The search results were filtered according to the relevance of low-intensity laser therapy (LLLT). Clinical papers were then grouped and reviewed in eight dental/maxillofacial categories.

3.Results: The initial search returned 2778 results, which were narrowed to 153 after filtering. Of these, 41 were review papers or editorials, 65 were clinical studies, and 47 were laboratory studies. Of the total publications, 130 reported positive effects in terms of pain relief, rapid healing, or improvement in symptoms or appearance, and 23 reported inconclusive or negative results. Therapeutic interventions in which light is applied directly to the oral cavity (as opposed to photodynamic therapy using photosensitizing solutions) have received little attention to date. Data from the limited number of oral cavity-related studies conducted to date suggest that low-intensity laser therapy (LLLT) may be a reliable, safe, and novel therapeutic approach for the treatment of a range of oral and dental conditions, particularly for those for which there is an unmet clinical need.

4.SIGNIFICANCE: The potential benefits of LLLT have been demonstrated in many areas of healthcare, including improved healing, reduced inflammation, and pain control, suggesting great potential for its use in oral tissues.
